Baglietto Talent Program, 2023 Edition

Jewelry Design

Course periodNov 20, 2023 – Feb 18, 2024
Jewelry Design

Yachts are not simply residences, places of delight or leisure for a niche of a privileged few. Boating is in fact lifestyle: a world of aesthetics, experiences and meanings that transcend the experience connected to the sea, acquiring intangible and symbolic values. Consequenlty, yachts are also places of identity, where to show among the most sumptuous and coveted collections, accessories and jewelry of the international jet set. Jewelry is a complementary horizon to yachting, since yachts are true floating jewels: precious items and icons of desire for the elite of all times. For this reason, Baglietto decided to dedicate part of its Talent Garden to jewelry designers. Inspired by the world of Baglietto, they will have the opportunity to create collections for both shipowners and fans of the shipyard, as well as for those who look at the nautical field with particular passion and interest.

Design workshop

Rosa Maria Villani / Scuola dell’arte della Medaglia

In the design workshop the notions learned in the other teaching modules will be applied to a real project. The objective of the workshop will be the design of a collection for either shipowners or the broader audience of enthusiasts and fans of the shipyard according to students’ choice. In either case, students will be called upon to give expression -through jewelry- to those values of luxury and elegance of which the Baglietto brand has always been the bearer.

Prototyping and Commercialisation

At the end of the design workshop part, also with reference to the type and nature of the designed projects, the most deserving students will be given the opportunity to continue their collaboration with the shipyard and its partners, through a period of internship or other form of collaboration, in order to prototype and commercialize the designed product lines.
